Since 2007, Jochen Kruppa has focused on the analysis of data. In doing so, he has conducted methodological research in the field of plants, animals and humans and has been involved in small projects up to large EU projects. His focus is on parametric statistics as well as occasional excursions into the field of machine learning. The current focus of his research is "estimands" and their importance in science communication. He also lives out his passion for statistical didactics on his own YouTube channel. He places particular emphasis on:
- Structured work
- Teaching and didactics in science communication
- Clean programming
- Methodological research in (bio)statistics and bioinformatics
