Dr. Eduardo Salgado is an anaesthesiologist and researcher. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de Chile in Santiago and obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Heidelberg. His anesthesiology career began at the Heidelberg University Hospital and has continued at Charité in Berlin since 2017.
Dr. Salgado’s research has been focused on the digital transformation of perioperative care by standardizing relevant clinical data (e.g., Medication and Ventilation Data) and developing AI-based solutions for research and care. Additionally, his emphasis on innovation pursues accelerating the process of bringing effective and safe digital therapeutics and precision medicine into clinical use with the help of Internet of things (IoT) and sensor technologies.
