Matthias Schulte-Althoff is a PhD student at Freie Universität Berlin in the research group "Digital Transformation and IT Infrastructures" and a research associate at the Institute of Medical Informatics at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in the work group Digital Transformation and Applications. His research areas are medical data science and technical infrastructure in ecosystems, especially concerning the use of artificial intelligence. He studied business informatics at the Christian-Albrecht-Universität Kiel and conducted research at the University of British Columbia. Matthias has a technical background with hands-on experience in business analytics and data science and he is an ISTQB certified software tester with industry experience in a top German marketing agency. His work has been published at a leading digital health journal as well as several Information Systems and Management conferences. He is a member of the Association of German University Teachers and the Academy of Management and a multiple grant recipient of the German Academic Exchange Service.
