Stefan Haufe has a PhD in computer science and is currently an associate professor (W2) of Uncertainty, Inverse Modeling, and Machine learning (UNIML) at TU Berlin as well as the head of working group 8.44 Machine Learning and Uncertainty at Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt (PTB) Berlin and the Brain and Data Science Lab at Charité. His research is concerned with the development, validation, and application of signal processing and machine learning methods for analyzing biomedical data. Main focus areas include the estimation and localization of complex patterns of functional brain interaction from magneto- and electroencephalography as well as the analysis of clinical routine data from intensive care units. At IMI, Stefan Haufe contributes to machine learning projects.
