Daniel Fürstenau is an Assistant Professor at the Copenhagen Business School and a researcher - part-time - at the Institute of Medical Informatics at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in the field of digitalization and heads the work group Digital Transformation and Applications. He is also an affiliated professor at the Einstein Center Digital Future and an external lecturer at the FU Berlin. He studied business administration and business informatics at the University of Potsdam and FU Berlin and conducted research at the University of British Columbia, the University of California, San Diego, and other institutions. His research focuses on digital health, especially digital platforms and ecosystems in healthcare, and IT management. He is the designated co-spokesperson of the Digital Health Section of the German Informatics Society and a member of the Association for Information Systems and the Academy of Management.
