Sophie Klopfenstein, MD, studied medicine in Germany, Canada, France, Austria and Switzerland. Her main research activities focus in Patient Monitoring and Alarm Management in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, and Interoperability in healthcare. She has also a particular interest for Public Health and Health economics, Medical Informatics and eHealth. Sophie worked in various healthcare startups where she focused on medical data curation, modelling, content creation, translation and NLP projects. She currently works as research fellow and project manager for the project “INALO” at the Institute of Medical Informatics and project-specificly in the working group Core Unit eHealth and Interoperability at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH).
